At the center of the two-lovers point cliff in Harmon is a vertical shaft extending downward to the shore. There is ledge two thirds down the shaft which intercepts objects thrown in. When rainwater come into direct contact with limestone, it causes small dissolutional sculpturing known as karren. Long vertical channels found in the walls of Amantes Pit is an example of karren created by rainwater running down limestone walls.
The lower photo is the Urunao beach near the end of a 3-mile hike which leads to the two-lovers cave. The beach is pristine with many moniter lizards and crabs running on the soft sand. The white background of this web page is a picture of the sand from this beach.
